Volunteers – Welcomed, Needed, and Appreciated!

Some of the most satisfying moments in life are when we volunteer to help others. If you would like to put on your volunteer hat for a few hours each month and have some fun, we have some "satisfying moments" in store for you!

You can become part of a very special group of volunteers at St. Anthony Health Center, who help residents with continued opportunities to stay involved. Resident family members also are encouraged to participate in our Family Council, which is a group that meets once a month in support of our residents and each other (Look for the monthly meeting time on the Family Council bulletin board as you enter the facility).

Imagine yourself helping someone to the dining room and dining with them. The good food and conversation, along with your helping hands, can make such a positive difference. Or, imagine yourself assisting a group of residents gather for a special program and then enjoying it with them. Because of you, several residents will have experienced a better day! Perhaps you could help by reading a newspaper to a resident with limited vision or playing a game of cribbage or cards with someone who feels uncomfortable in a crowd. In the quiet of their room, whether reading a newspaper or playing a game, you will have made an important difference in that person's day.

We are always in need of volunteers. You will be welcomed and appreciated! If you have a few hours to share, please call or email Kristin at 612.913.5318. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing some "satisfying moments."
