Maggie Green, RNBC, Director of Nursing

I earned my Associate Degree of Nursing from Des Moines Area Community College. I have three certifications – Certified Director of Nursing from Care Providers of Minnesota, Geriatric Nurse Specialist from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and Legal Nurse Consultant from Chippewa Valley Technical College. My 30-plus years of experience have included work in acute surgical nursing, and 17 years of serving the senior population in long term care, mostly on Alzheimer and Dementia units. I have also worked as an administrative nurse for 14 years.

My second passion in life is cooking. I also garden, read, and sew. I spend a lot of time with family and friends, and I think this comes from growing up in a family with lots of siblings – there were 18 of us. This made us close!

I am so excited for an opportunity to work in a bright, beautiful community like St. Anthony Health Center that totally focuses on the people they serve. I believe some of my values, mission, and beliefs – that "customers come first" – are shared here at St. Anthony. I want to use my expertise, experiences, and vision to help to enrich the quality of life and well-being for our seniors here. I enjoy working with family members, also, as I believe we are a team in care planning and delivery of care. I pledge to give support, education, and leadership to my staff to help them continue the excellent work being done here at St. Anthony Health Center.
